We are an independent, non-government, community-managed agency offering a range of quality services for children and families within our communities that are responsive to the varying needs of North East Victoria and Southern NSW, extending from the cities of Albury/Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla to townships throughout the Towong, Mansfield, Alpine and Indigo shires. We now have a rewarding opportunity available for our next Service Manager to join the team and begin overseeing the Family Relationship Services (FRS) team in Albury/Wodonga.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
As our next FRS Service Manager, you will oversee a range of services that provide alternatives to formal legal process for families and improve relationships in the best interests of children. These include the Family Relationship Centre, Children’s Contact Centre, Parenting Orders Program, and Regional Family Dispute Resolution.
You will oversee three Team Leaders, who each have a number of practitioners working under their supervision to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families in the area.

Note: You will be required to work across both the Albury and Wodonga offices. An agency vehicle can be provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provision of effective operational and strategic service planning
- Ensuring service compliance with existing and proposed regulatory requirements
- Providing regular high-quality supervision and work planning for the FRS Team Leaders and ensuring they are adequately skilled, mentored and supported in undertaking their roles
- Leading and promoting a culture of child safety and relevant cultural connection for all children including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and those with disability and CALD through the recruitment, supervision and professional development of staff

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
To be considered for this role, you should hold tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Law, Community Welfare Practice, Human Services, or another relevant discipline.
You’ll also have the demonstrated ability to perform high-level legal qualification duties, such as overseeing legal and funding compliance and managing budgets. Your extensive knowledge of the Family Relationship sectors, including legal obligations and current trends, will be critical to your continued success in the role (and within the wider organisation).
Other requirements include:
- Highly-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- High-level leadership skills
- A commitment to operating within a child-focused and child-led framework
- Satisfactory VIC and NSW Working With Children Check, National Police Check, COVID-19 Vaccination, and current Driver’s License
Although not necessary, experience working in Family Law will be highly regarded.
