We seek an enthusiastic Family Services Practitioner to join our dedicated and supportive team based in our Wodonga or Wangaratta offices.

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Team Leader Family Services, the successful candidate will provide support services to families enabling them to promote the safety, stability and development of infants, children and young people. Child safety and wellbeing are at the crux of all we do. You will be immersed in a wealth of experience and an enriching community.
You will provide complex case work with children and families to build capacity and enable sustainable change and positive family functioning. You will gain fulfilment and gratification from seeing the impact you have on your client’s lives.
Key Responsibility Areas of this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Provision of case-coordination that supports the diversity, mental health, drug and alcohol, trauma and disability experiences of the family.
- Provision of therapeutic parenting programs like Circle of Security Parenting, Bringing up Great Kids and Tunning into Kids and Teens.
- Engage Infants, Children and Adolescents in meeting their emotional and developmental needs.
- Co-facilitation of group work programs for CAFS clients where allocated.
- Involvement of children and families in the development, implementation and review of Child & Family Action Plans.
- Update and maintain data base (IRIS – services and case notes) and all relevant documentation within IFS timelines and guidelines.
- Support a culture that promotes child safety with particular attention to Aboriginal and CALD cultural safety and children with a disability.

About You
To be eligible to apply for this position, you'll require a tertiary qualification in Social work or equivalent, as well as demonstrated experience working with families. We're seeking a candidate who can apply strength-based assessments to family situations and engage and work with complex family situations.
Experienced candidates, and graduates, are both welcome to apply.
All candidates will need to possess or be able to obtain prior to commencement:
- Working with Children Check - Victoria and NSW
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Current driver's licence
Importantly, you will be a team player with strong communication skills, highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and good levels of resilience. This role requires you to manage competing priorities and interact with people with a range of abilities and needs.
